It does everything that I wanted it too, plus more. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is interested in a good quality stereo/receiver.Linda Coltes I am very pleased with my new Sony Stereo Receiver. I don't think Sony is making this anymore. This receiver was purchased at a great price as they were being cleared out. It's simple, it works and that's all I wanted.
Take this to a Sony certified dealer here in Phoenix,AZ. My choices are: Return for refund and reorder( 2 weeks at least turn around). All, at my expense. I have to take it to a Sony certified dealer for repair. Amazon should make recompense to me, I feel Pay shipping to Sony Mfg`r in Texas for repair ( 2-3 weeks turn around).
I am NOT, a happy camper. Did not work. I Do Not, recomend this product. (there are only 2).leave it for repairs, and then go pick it up after ( how many days no one knows).
We were disappointed because we've found Sony products to be very reliable, usually. The volume increased only a smidge even when it was turned up all the way. We returned this receiver. Once it was hooked up, we found that the volume control did not work well. All we were looking for was a simple receiver that worked well, and this was not it.
This replaced an exact duplicate blown out by lightning - exactly what we needed. Attached to 5 disc Sony CD player and pipped to three rooms - nice sound.
